The Tipping Point
The Scarlet Letter can simply be described with two words, Inescapable Revenge. The feeling of wrath, anger, hatred, and boiling emotions. These emotions lead to an act which then lead on to consequences. The main character Hester Prynne is the main cause of the chaos. Moving to America without her husband, she finds the desire to have an affair with the Reverend Arthur Dimmesdale. Equally aware, the Reverend gives in and commits the starting point of a inescapable future. Since they lived in Salem, Massachusetts, a highly Puritan village, that can only add more risk to the action. Without any control, the village finds out, Hester ends up pregnant, her real husband Chillingworth travels to Salem , and the tipping point in the village overall begins. Chaos erupts and so do the accusations.
